What is the difference between Bodytite and Advanced Laser Lipo or Smartlipo?
Smart Lipo was developed in response to UAL to try to improve skin tightening. The problem with the early Smartlipo lasers were that they had only 6 or 10W (the BodyTite™ has 75W). The consequence was that one could not adequately break down the fat and it had to be left in, allowing the body to break it down. Thus Smartlipo could treat an area the size of a man’s fist but no more without help.
The main problem with SmartLipo was the length of time it took to get the results. The average patient would see an improvement in a few weeks but in reality it took several months before an obvious change could be seen. Most of us are not that patient!
Advanced Laser Lipo used a much more powerful (25W) laser to melt the fat much better so that it could be gently removed. The skin tightening was far superior to Liposuction and UAL, however it is difficult to judge what the skin temeperature is. Also the procedure takes much longer and does cause more bruising than Bodytite.
In our experience patients are up and about much quicker after Bodytite than with Advanced Laser Lipo. In addition the degree of skin tightening is much better with BodyTite™ .
