What Is the Process With BodyTite™ ?

What Can I Expect on the Day of the BodyTite™ Treatment?

BodyTite™ Step 1

The doctor will take a history and examine the area.You will have discussed this at length beforehand and have taken away information to read and digest.
We then take pictures for your file, so that you can see how things have changed.
We mark out the areas to treat and agree these with you.
We mark out incision points, most of these are hidden, so that even if they do scar (unlikely) they will not be normally visible.

BodyTite™ Step 2

You will be offerred some painkillers (DO NOT DRIVE HOME AFTER THIS PROCEDURE)
We clean the area and put the anaesthetic in to the fat to make it numb, there is some pushing and tugging sensation but NOT pain.
There are those that become very anxious tend to have problems at this stage, as anxiety can make the perception of discomfort worse
The BodyTite™ cannula is then assembled.
(ALL PATIENTS ARE TREATED WITH COMPLETELY NEW APPARATUS AND IT IS DESTROYED ONCE USED, IN FRONT OF YOU WHILE YOU WAIT)
The treatment begins and the fat is softened and removed. The skin can be seen to tighten immediately.We are confident that the vast majority of patients will get 90% of the result that they want by the end of the procedure. We will tell you well in advance of the treatment day if this is not going to be the case.

BodyTite™ Step 3

Time to get the pressure garment on. We will then take you to the Waltons hotel next door (unless you are fairly local).

BodyTite™ Step 4

We see you the next morning change dressings or remove them as leaking has usually stopped and you can go home.
We then contact you every day for the first week, see you in 1 week and then as required usually every few weeks/months until you have your desired results.
IT IS USUAL FOR THE SKIN TO BECOME SLIGHTLY UNEVEN AT WEEK 3 DO NOT PANIC!!!!
The skin then takes 3-9 months to become smooth again, but will usually still look much better than before.
Follow up continues for 12 months as it can take that long for the final results to become visible.
Approximately 2% of patients require an unplanned second BodyTite™ treatment, discuss this with your doctor beforehand.
