CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing Video Review
I’m Sue, and I’ve been a patient of the Zenith Clinic here since it started, and a way back even before that I was going to Dr. Maini when it was the Nottingham Laser Clinic right down on Dentham Road. I tstarted coming because I actually wanted skin rejuvenation which they were offering. it was nearby and it looked fairly reputable.
I think the fact that it was above a doctor’s surgery was helpful as well. and I had it. Was very pleased with the results and Dr. Maini suggested something else. I can’t remember what he suggested must of been some filler. For a while when I talked about it, I came back and had that experience with it.
And so I’ve been coming back to have things like that topped up at regular intervals. And he suggested this because I was very fed up with just looking tired and looking my age all the time. I didn’t want to look my age. I don’t want to look 18. but I dont want to look 61. And I hope later, not quite 61, I usually get away with sort of late 40′s, early 50′s, now I think.
So I’ve been very pleased with it. I was terrified with the CO2 when he suggested it and spent probably the best part of nine months going, I’m sure it’s wonderful, but I don’t think it’s quite for me yet. But in the end, I just kept looking in the mirror in the morning, especially and eventually I thought go on then and go for it, so I did. I’m very, very pleased with it.
The aftercare was absolutely brilliant. I knew it would be after having had other things done. I insisted on driving myself home, against Dr. Maini’s advice. Got home without any incidents at all, with a lot of air conditioning on and had to text him. I felt like texting, “I’ve got a mother already, thank you.” But he was really good.
They texted to check on me after each treatment, I had three shorter treatments because I was a wimp and didn’t want one long one. I walked the dogs as soon as I got back, not very far admittedly but it was fine to do it, just had to keep out of the sun. I was walking dogs and working as usual. I work from home so it was easy, the next day.
The other thing was you do look a bit strange, because you’re a little bit red and swollen. It really is just like very bad sunburn. It’s not particularly sore. It looks horrendous the first day or two, but you start to look like yourself again after a few days. I didn’t recognize myself the first day after in the mirror.
And I thought, “What I have done?” But it goes away, by the end of the week you’re back to normal except your skin. It’s a bit pink, still. It’s just absolutely beautifully smooth. Never seen anything like it. I don’t remember looking like that. and I have been virtually stop wearing makeup. I just wear a bit on my eyes now.
I don’t bother putting any on my skin. I just use sunblock and moisturizer. it’s absolutely worth it. Really, well worth it. Well worth that down time afterwards as well, because although you feel okay, you look so awful, it’s not time to on the neighbours and your friends. And I kept it away from my mother as well because of the lectures.
But it’s absolutely fine afterwards. I’d honestly recommend it. And if I need it doing again I’ll do it without a second thought, really. It’s absolutely great.
