3D Imaging the Way Forward for CelluTite and BodyTite

Zenith have introduced the AxisThree 3D imaging device to the UK in an attempt to offer patients better validation that their treatments are achieving what they set out to do.

The AxisThree measures to an accuracy of 0.2mm so we can demonstrate the effectiveness of the treatments we offer.

Dr Maini comments “I think it will be essential to have validated 3D imaging in the future just as 2D is the norm at present. I really think it will offer patients a huge additional benefit for procedures such as breast augmentation and rhinoplasty as the patient can see how they will look.”

Liposuction and tummy tucks improve self-esteem - study

The majority of patients who have had liposuction and/or a tummy tuck say their self-esteem and quality of life improved after the surgery, research carried out in America revealed.

Outcomes are especially good when patients undergo both procedures at the same time, although recovery times are longer and pain levels higher than for liposuction alone, according to a study published in the April issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).

Patients who had liposuction needed an average of six days off work, compared to 16 for those who had abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) or a combination of the two. The liposuction-only patients also experienced less discomfort, reporting an average pain score of six out of 10, compared to 7.5 for those who had abdominoplasty.

However, the tummy tuck patients were happier with the results – nine out of 10 were satisfied, compared to eight out of 10 for liposuction. But when both procedures were carried out together, this went up to 99 per cent, with no increase in pain compared to abdominoplasty alone.

Overall, 86 per cent of patients reported an improved sense of self-esteem after surgery, while around 70 per cent said they had a better quality of life – more commonly after liposuction plus abdominoplasty.

Susan Sarandon admits to having liposuction

Actress Susan Sarandon has revealed her secrets for staying sexy at 65 – including having liposuction on her face.

In an interview with People magazine, the Hollywood star explained she had the procedure in a bid to remove fat pockets from her face. "I've had some lipo under my chin and under my eyes," she said.

Sarandon also hinted that she would consider having further cosmetic work done such as Botox injections – as long as the results were subtle.

"I have these two huge frown lines here (on my forehead),” she said. “But if you can't move your face or you're unrecognisable, I don't see how that's a productive enhancement. You don't want to look like a female impersonation of yourself."

Sarandon, who found fame in films including Dead Man Walking and Thelma and Louise, told the magazine that older actresses are often overlooked for the better roles in Hollywood.

"It's true there aren't that many good parts. I've had my disappointments. It's hard to be in this business and not be an alcoholic or a drug addict or bitter as an older woman," she said.

In her latest film Jeff, Who Lives at Home, she plays a lonely mother dealing with two dysfunctional adult sons.

Syringe beats Knife for instant lift

THE SYRINGE AND MEDICAL LASERS are replacing the scalpel for many men and women seeking to regain their youthful bloom, defy the signs of ageing or simply enhance the natural beauty they already possess.
With demand for quick, easy and convenient aesthetic procedures spiralling, men and women who might previously have paid to go under the knife are now turning to injectable treatments to deliver excellent cosmetic results – at a fraction of the cost.

Dr Dinesh Maini of zenith cosmetic clinics Nottingham and London said there had been a phenomenal rise in clients asking for Botox or dermal fillers – with good reason.

Injectables are less expensive than surgery, have little or no ‘downtime’ and offer effective, rapid cosmetic solutions which can be performed professionally yet simply and speedily.

Dr Maini explained: “For people wanting fast results with little or no recovery time then injectables are perfect. Treatments can be carried out quickly, improvements are often seen immediately and there are no telltale scars to worry about.

“Surgical procedures such as facelifts are long and complicated and recovery can be slow. They also carry the obvious risks associated with any surgical operation.

“If people aren’t ready to take those risks or they feel they do not need such drastic action then injectables can be more appealing. Opting for the needle rather than the knife is a much less invasive option but can still provide superior results with fillers such as Sculptra lasting for up to three years.”

Zenith Cosmetic Clinics offers a wide portfolio of surgical and non-surgical treatments in Nottingham and London, including laser mole removal, botox, laser hair removal and bodytite liposuction all of which are carried out by a qualified practitioner following a one to one consultation.

Lines and furrows can be smoothed and softened by Botox or fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm Ultra which can last up to 12 months and offers a smoother more natural result than traditional hyaluronic acid fillers, and the revolutionary Sculptra, labelled a liquid facelift, which restores facial volume, resulting in younger, plumper, fresher looking skin.

Sculptra is fast becoming a favourite among those seeking a quick but enduring fix as it can last for up to three years, and like Juvederm, it has received approval from the respected FDA – the United States Food and Drug Administration which rubber stamps its safety and efficacy.

Vaser Hi-Def Coming to Zenith

In our drive to give Patients the best possible options to have the best treatments performed by the best people.

We will shortly be offerring Vaser and Vaser Hi-Def (TM) with the option of Local anaesthetic, Twilight anaesthetic and General anaesthesia.

Dr Maini comments “Vaser liposelection will sit alongside and nicely complement our BodyTite, Fat Transfer and Water assisted Lipo (Bodyjet). I feel that all these technologies have a place and it is very difficult for a patient to choose which one is right for them. We should be able to offer every effective possibility and advise our patients appropriately, rather than having just ‘one hammer for every nail!’”

Zenith is now the largest private medically run cosmetic clinic in Nottingham, the Midlands and probably the UK.

Cosmetic surgery on NHS scaled back in Midlands

Cosmetic surgery on NHS scaled back in Midlands

Cosmetic surgery paid for by the NHS will be cut back in the Midlands in a bid to save taxpayers’ cash, it was announced.

Under current policy, patients in parts of the Midlands get free cosmetic operations if their appearance makes them depressed or affects their self esteem. Procedures include breast enlargement, nose jobs, facelifts, tummy tucks, liposuction and removal of excess skin following weight loss.

The shake-up, which is designed to save money and put an end to a postcode lottery on care, means patients will have to rely on private medical insurance or pay for the surgery themselves.

Procedures such as varicose vein, tattoo and wisdom teeth removal will also be scaled back under the plans. Other operations will only be carried out after other treatments have failed.

The new policies are set to come into force from April 1 and will cover the whole of the Black Country. As a result, it is estimated there will be at least 470 fewer hospital admissions a year, the Express & Star newspaper reported.

NHS bosses in Staffordshire are considering a similar move in relation to IVF treatment and gastric bands.

Zenith Performs Second Bodytite Liposuction Procedure Under Hypnosis!

AM was extremely anxious about his procedure, when informed of the possibility of undergoing hypnosis he was very keen.

Watched by his partner he was put in to a deep trance, but perfectly in control.

The procedure was carried out without any complications and A.M. was able to move about as requested.

At the end of the procedure, A.M. commented ” I am not sure whether I was completely under but it felt dead good, those 2 bottles of cold beer on the beach were a nice touch!”

Dr Maini feels that this is a novel approach worthy of further evaluation and offers excellent additional relaxation for the patient having Liposuction, BodyTite or other procedure without resorting to powerful drugs that cause disorientation.

Hypnosis is merely a state of deep relaxation that can be very helpful for those that are feeling anxious, the need for anaesthetic is substantially reduced thus making the procedure easier and safer for the patient.
